FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where are your prices?

Work in Progress operates as a donation-based project. We feel reluctant to set a specific price  at this time because the dinner series exists now as an opportunity for us to develop our craft in gastronomy and hospitality. With so many imperfections still to work on, we are happy to have this project supported by the generosity of our guests. We rely directly on these donations so we may purchase ingredients, equipment, tableware and continue to develop the project. Each night, we keep a piggy jar in the bathroom to accept anonymous cash-only donations from our guests. WIP is unable to accept checks, venmo, zelle, or any other forms of donation.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Due to the format of our menu and the scale of our operation, it can be challenging to accommodate dietary restrictions at this phase in our development. If you or a dining partner have dietary restrictions, please get in touch with us prior to booking and we will do our best to find a date when the menu will be accommodating to your needs.

I can’t find your location/hours

WIP is an on-demand project- we operate only on certain nights of the week, typically Fridays and Saturdays, and open for one seating per night. “Dinner time” is often dictated by our guests! We are located just off of Main St. in Geneva, NY. After booking, you will receive a confirmation text with the exact address. Occasionally, we will do off-site collaborations with friends or even host the odd Sunday lunch. You won’t find our hours listed specifically on our website because we don’t adhere to a standard schedule.

Where is your menu?

Just as the ingredients we work with are in a constant state of evolution, so is our menu. You can expect many small courses, typically 16-20, each focused on just one or two special ingredients that are at their peak on the night you join us. Local, organic vegetables and dairy, wild foods, and pasture raised meats will all be served.

Where can I find your wine list?

WIP invites guests to bring their own wines to open and drink with the meal. If you would like suggestions on what to bring or a general outline of the food which will be served, please get in touch via email- info@wip-fingerlakes.com and we will be more than happy to provide a few suggestions.
